What is this PAB? Possible Juncker?

What is this PAB? Possible Juncker?
I have this PAB and I believe it is a Juncker, because of the hardware I believe it is not the first design, still early but a little later. I would think it is still a Nickel Silver? What is all this silver wash on this badge on the front as well as traces on the back. I think I see on the reverse in the hook area some cupper showing through as well as on the reverse on the oak leave wreath? I looked and looked at the Philippe De Bock book and I just cant figure this one out. What the heck is it? Thank you all for your help! Jurgen E

    Hi Jurgen,

It is indeed a Juncker in nicklesilver.
Unlike the other example you posted yesterday,
this one did receive a silver finish thus making it a later version.
What you see on the backside is patina forming, not copper.

      Hi Jurgen,

I think Jelle nailed this one pretty well, original Juncker with frosted silver finish. Typical appearance with some age spots and oxidation giving it a somehat speckled look.

I have one that was quite heavily oxidized and the frosted silver finish had a similar appearance. It was so heavily oxidized that I risked cleaning it and was happy with the result, but wouldn't touch yours as it looks great the way it is and perfectly natural.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Beautiful piece Jurgen! That's what I call mint. Completely untouched and hardly ever worn panzer
            Kind regards,

Thanks Job, it was a local US vet bringback, he was in charge of prisoner interrogation so had a bunch of nice goodies.

TarnX. I don't normally clean my badges and I don't recommend it unless its a pretty hard core case of dark oxidation like on my PAB here. Its a pretty harsh chemical and works well, but can give the badge an unnatural weird look to it. Only in extreme cases would I recommend it.
