    F&BL CCC in Silver

    Hi guys,

A friend sent me pics of this F&BL CCC in Silver with a question on the finish. While it looks minty and almost too good to be true, I think it is completely correct and 100% original F&BL finish IMO. This type of speckled silver finish is correct for F&BL and we can see it also on their IABs, here is my L/56 marked IAB along with a few others. This type of finish is also found on the GABs Unknown #8 which have been connected to F&BL was well.

The minty condition makes sense to me when I look at the backplate, it is completely correct for F&BL, has the correct black finish and is completely intact with barely a scratch on it. This tells me this is an unworn example, was likely awarded and put away in a drawer or was found directly from a retail store room at the end of the war.

    Tom

Thanks for posting that up Tom! I felt like You, Giel and me were the only one that were in full agreement of what we are looking at.

Most people only know about the other finish type which you encounter normally on their CCC.
