    Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber, S&H

Here is my silver tombak Schauerte & Höhfeld PAB from my collection.
This early Schauerte & Höhfeld produced PAB appears to have most of its silver frosting worn away from the high wear areas to reveal the bronze color of the base metal.
The catch is not a known type for this manufacturer, but appears to have been on here for a long time.
It is possible that the awardee of this badge had it replaced, or, it is a variant that has not been documented before.
This is an old war horse, you can see the amount of wear on the edges of the hinge on the reverse.
    Ralph.

    Ralph,
A wonderful example with a lot of character going for it.

Killer look on that S&H PAB even with the repaired setup.
      Nice piece!

      Best regards,

        Hi Ralph,

a beautiful and worn s&h pab.
That badge clearly saw some action.
The set-up is replaced, looks to be done a long time ago.

A badge that speaks to you, I really like it !
You can almost smell the gunpower on some of these early pieces.

                  Hi Ralph,

Very nicely worn early S&H with some great character. Certainly saw its share of the action with wear like this and repaired hinge and catch. Very nice addition, I would have snapped it up myself if I had seen it.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
