Doesn't match the,nice original one for sale on the e stand.

it is not a SS ring.. It is a non issued ring , a private purchase type.. Anyone with the money could have bought one. ,,,but since in Germany at the time you were either Military armed forces,,or para military or HJ etc. well there you go.
It is a known Skull & Snakes pattern. I see more I like than don;t like..
Is there a seam to the rear of the band?

believe it or not,,,Himmler sometimes wore a Skull & Snakes ring!
Anyway,,, The seam might be seen from the inside of band..
Inner band finished off well [good sign].
Hallmark appears to be stamped in, again good..
IF, if the mark next to the star shows a Ln the chance of it being WW2 period is very good..Comment
