    The base construction is that of a good marked Brehmer. But the catch is repaired and hinge is probably too.

    These Brehmer pieces can crumble a bit giving them lots of pitting. Its something that also occurs on their IAB.

    Can you post some close ups of the catch and hinge so we can have a good look at it please.

        I agree with Job, hinge, catch and pin are all new. The badge itself looks good. I like the very crisp punched maker mark

          Hi Ralph,

          I think the guys nailed it here, an original Brehmer GAB, but with replaced hinge, pin and catch. You can see the disturbance of the original finish around the hinge and catch plate, and then what looks like glue under the catchplate (top right).
