Be sure to post the reverse because I am seeing some red flags already from just this obverse pic....

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

This is definitely not type IV, but it has a chance of type III

The reverse looks pretty good. Can you post some closeups of the acorns on the obverse?

Tom, my friend got the piece directly from the family and that's why I'm sure it fits.

                Best regards,
                Marko

                    Hi Marko,

Maybe I am wrong, but the acorn caps still look odd to me, they are flat like we see on some fakes where they appear to have been hit with a cross-hatch stamp to make them look detailed. Its hard to see on your black & white closeups, but the original pics you posted (the ones in color with the green background) show better what I am talking about. Maybe Antonio or a few others who specialize in APBs will say I am offbase here as I admittedly don't really specialize in these, but have always looked at the flat acorn caps with stamped hatch pattern as a big red flag.

                      Thanks Tom.

My friend sent me the photos with my cell phone, I may take better pictures with my camera.
As I wrote earlier, the piece comes directly from the family of the loaned soldier, so I was pretty sure.

I got an EK I "directly from the family" while I was living in Germany - it was a fake.

I think the details is missing because of the photos. Anti partisan badges are a minefield, the one and only thing that is really needed are very good an detailed photos. Cell phones can't take such photos.
                          Kind regards,
                          Giel
