I am leaning towards a fake. The maker mark looks somewhat off to known originals. Need a picture of front part of hinge for a better opinion.

Ralph, I noticed you posted a wide pin on your PAB, no doubt about its originality. With regards to the maker mark especially the dots, yours matches known examples of wide pins.

John, I only posted the wide pin example because it is easier to see the maker's mark.

Thanks Ralph for the pictures of a wire pin version. On your badge the marker mark is what I was looking to see. Is it just me or do you see that on the original posting the marker mark periods were square. What you have posted are rounded plus the 2nd period is almost not visible. I believe also that there is repro on this PAB.

Regarding the maker mark, I cannot tell any difference between alone's badge and Ralph's. All details in that badge is typical Soval. IMHO it's original.

Rich, you are comparing apples to oranges. Your badge has a needle pin and in your last post you used Ralphs wide pin example. If you look again at the second posting from Ralph you will see what I mean about the second period almost not there. I will look through my data base and try and try and find the fake example.

Also, Philippe pointed out in this thread that all original RS PABs should have the flaw on the inner feather row of the right wing, which you can see on Alone's badge.
