Here is a very interesting Souval made PAB 25. This badge entirely uses Souval’s known wartime compatible hardware.
There are also quite a few differences to the first type of postwar produced badges that all use pin-rivets and the typical Souval clasp.
I believe there is a likely chance, that this badge was actually still made in the late war period.
The last pictures show a reverse comparison to the first known postwar produced type. Notice the differences in the hardware used. These type of rivets are not seen on any other Souval postwar badge. Also the tip of the pin itself was trimmed at the pointed end. This is not the case on any of the Souval postwar made badges.
Whatever history this badge has, it’s certainly an interesting one. It‘s the only one of this type I have come across in all these years.
Regards,
Alex
