    The hardware on this badge looks ok but the mounting area around hinge is different to know originals that I have seen. Top of grenade looks off to straight. Not liking badge.

        This is one of my favourite designs with wonderful quirky hinge assembly. I have a couple of these but it took ages to find the first one.


        Here is one of mine that shows the hardware set up is a good match to yours.


        I wonder if John had a different GAB in mind when mentioning the hinge area.




        I like the red designation on your packet. With your knowledge on packet paper and construction I am sure it is period. Nice to have the interesting "L/21" marking too.
