    was it ever done im feld and if so by whom? the soldat or the unit armorer? any reference of it being done? just curious?.

      yes by the soldat. depends how good he was.some did a very good job.others did not give a Damn

        thanks, be cause I have a great badge form a soldat that didn't give a hoot as long it adhered to his tunic.
