    2-place medal bar for inspection

This medal bar features an EK2 by Deumer and a Bulgarian soldier's cross of the military order for bravery.

Th pictures of only the EK2 and of the complete bar were taken on different days and by different persons under obviously different lighting conditions.

May I ask for your opinions, good and bad, please?

Hello! It looks original to me. Since the system of fastening rewards on hooks, you can hang anything. For example, the Bulgarian Order "За храбрость 1941". The bar itself is original.

this looks promising in every detail. Just loose ribbon folding in front indicates somebody touched it. Otherwise on backside properly folded and soldered. Nice one.

As for the first bar posted I agree with Edward. Considering the ribbon has been spread one would think that the medal might have been swapped out. Regardless a good bar IMO as well. Since I am a big fan of "two fers" I find the second example posted exceedingly nice.

Thanks you for your opinions. However, I do not think the Bulgarian ribbon has been spread as I find it impossible to close or bring together due to a fold due to the stitching.

Of course never say no. If it was spread to exchange a medal, the original only could have been another wartime Bulgarian medal as the ribbon is original and only used in circumstances of war.

It could have been a national order for military merit or an officer’s cross of the military order for bravery.
Here are two medal bars with these awards, first for military merit and second for bravery.

I'm not disagreeing with your reasoning at all. That is why I said "might have been" in my post.

Thanks Chet, and by the way, zinc positively stinks.
