Mothers cross question

Hi
I recently obtained a nice genuine example of this award and when I compared it to a cross I had previously the differences were many.As you can see, the one on the left I now believe to be fake has the following obvious differences:
Slightly bigger
Detail not as good
Different dimensions for enamel covering
Raised writing on the rear
Different ribbon etc etc etc
However, being a complete novice in this hobby, I just wanted 100% confirmation from the experts before confining this cross to the fake bin that this is a copy and not some variation.

Hi Andy i agree with the above comments, many collectors get trapped in the idea that these are not very well copied but here is yet another example. Better than some worse than others. All the best

The left is a fake indeed, so . I have had one myself. You can see a picture of one similar to that one, in the book "Detecting the fakes".
