Ribbon seems fine, construction looks ok; medal looks beat up and kinda odd to me.

Hi James,

As others have said very nice single mount KvK 2/S and mounted on orange ribbon to boot: good for you! Nothing odd or wrong with the cross either IMO I have a few of those and makers used different finishes/patinas. Yours just happens to be in a darker shade than others which makes a great contrast. I have one with similar brown shade highlights mounted on a red ribbon while my "orange" mounted cross is more subdued
