7 Questionable badges- Army Flak fallschirmjager Panzer tank and eagles- help!

    Hi all,

I purchased these badges many years ago in different German/Allied lots, and put them aside from the display collection as I wasn't sure which ones were original and which were copies. Some of the badges appear to have been heavily worn/polished, while others (the two eagles) appear to be in great condition. I do not have high expectations for these badges but it would be nice if one or two were original- the Paratrooper badge I am assuming is a very bad copy (reverse is marked 04) but the Infantry assault looks good and the Panzer/Flak despite polish may have a slight chance. The Prussian era helmet skull is a mystery as well.

Any help greatly appreciated, thanks again

        Hi guys,

Thank you for the help- Sevrin, I had no idea the photos from photobucket were not allowed as I had been using them before with no trouble preiously, I will use the photo uploader now if required.

Chet- is it ok to list Infantry Assault and Panzer badges on the General Awards section?

        Thanks!

Agreed! Seems to be fashionable these days to just dump everything in "General Wehrmacht Awards" and let the respondants sort it out...

Take the time to at least read what each forum is about.

Then all this stuff would go in its proper place and get proper answers from those who know.

I am no badge collector but even at a glance there is nothing there that I would touch. I hope the guys in the right forums can give you better news.

              Sorry, Ian.

As IAB is definitely an original Rudolf Karneth badge it´s worth to sort them into proper subforums to find out more.

I did wonder about that one but as I said I'm no badge collector.

                    No problemo.

Just trying to get the word out since the policy changed and everyone can post attached up to 10 now. Really hope most do make the switch and help us keep the pics; we've lost a lost to outside hosting over the life of the forum.

                    Best,

                    James

                      This statement is incorrect.
There is no evidence to back up this common misperception.
The IAB CAN be attributed to manufacturer RK, but to date there is no solid evidence to link the initials RK to any particular manufacturer of the time period.
