I’m not sure where to list this thread. Hopefully, this is the right place. I recently acquired this Heer soldier bust and wanted to get some opinions. I appreciate any help.

It looks credible to me. If I were you I'd just do a sanity check that the particular unit existed at that time.

It translates to 1st prize for shooting August 1940. I’m not sure of the unit. It looks like 2nd Company J.E.B H. 469, does anyone have any thoughts?

Not quite. J = Jaeger or Infanterie because often they wrote a capital I as "J", but basically same anyway. E = Ersatz = replacement . Not a B.H. but rather Btl = Bataillon.

So 2. Kompanie, Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 469
