Whether you want to keep the cross or not is up to you. It is a nice example.
Depends on how much over the cost of and ordinary 25yr cross you paid.

Taking into account your opinions, the fact that the wreath is probably post-war and the fact that the ribbon is a copy, the cross will return to the seller.

575 euros is too much for a cross. For sure...

Thank you very much for your help. If anyone has too many original crosses of this type, I'm waiting for the PRIV. :-)

          Giel's.

Cross is fine it's the wreath that is in question.

What do you think of the ribbon for this cross?

              Pierce/Luftkrieg thinks it's a modern ribbon.

I can't say for sure as I cannot see the looped edges of the ribbon that clearly.

Too me replaced ribbons are no big deal.

I collected British awards for a long time and the ribbons on these were always being replaced.

Actually it was me, referring to post #4 photo of the edges ...

… and I stand by my initial opinion.

I could never understand why these long service medals and crosses would be on a sewn civilian style pin-back ribbon. I would think they would be mounted on a medal bar. Never seen a long service being worn with this sewn pin-back ribbon.

Tom, not only that, they were never supposed to be worn as singles, only in conjunction with a lower class. As pointed out by others, there is nothing presented so far suggesting the cut-out type to be war-time produced.

                    cheers

Seeing Wehrmacht crosses on pin-back ribbons is usually a red flag for me.
