    Dear Tom,

    Wonderful awards, one and all.

I agree with you that the patina on a couple of those is really attractive. The rust colored DRL is exemplary. Funny how certain levels of oxidation and patination can sometimes strike a certain chord, huh?

    Best,

    J-

Wow … very neat! I was hoping to get to the show, but had a conflict. My next event will be the Max. Dan

I have the Bronze Merit Medal identical but I'm missing the packet.

                  East Medal '18'

Here is a pretty nice East Medal by Karl Wurster. I bought this yesterday at the Military Show in Perrysburg. This example has some bubbling, but most of the finish is intact.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

                        Tom,
Looks like you had another nice show. That Imperial EK really stands out to me, do you know the maker?

                          Hi Dale,

The 1914 EK1 is a Zimmermann. The frame is .930 silver and the core is iron and chemically blued. It is one of the nicest 1914 EK1s ever made and they are hard to come by. These EK1s can also be found marked "Silber" on the pin and also unmarked. But the hardest one to find is the 930.

                          Best regards,
                          Tom
