    The seventh gone.

    Hello to all.

I'm thinking to place the missing medal on its position,
however, before doing it, I'll have to be absolutely sure,
what the medal was lost ?
There is an opinion, it was some veterans medal of WW-I,
    probably, Hungary or Bulgaria ?
It will be very interesting for me, perhaps for anyone else
to get your opinions and thoughts.
    Thanks in advance.
    Alex.

I would say you've guessed right, it was most likely either the Hungarian or Bulgarian WW1 medals.

The most common combination I've come across with the WW1 Ausrtrian medal & only one of the other 2, is the Hungarian medal.

So I'd think about going with that.
    Regards,
    Chris

Always interested in buying Ribbon Bars or anything Ribbon Bar related!!

      Chris, Thank you.
Unfortunately, it wasn't my own guess,
I've simple introduced the conclusion coming from the Russian Forum.

One question more to all of you.
is it possible to get the pic of this medal here ?

      Thank you in advance
      Alex.

Sadly, when something is ruined by an idiot, there is no way to know what MIGHT have been on there to try and fix it. It could literally have been anything from a 1938 Sudeten Medal to anything foreign.

For the World War One Central Powers medals, go to the Imperial Forum here and type in a search for "Hungarian Commemorative" and "Bulgarian Commemorative."

Anything 1914-18 is covered in there (and many Third Reich medal bars too).

My guess would be something TR, because of the pattern in the medal bar with WWI in first place then TR.

            One example

            Hi,

Here is one of my medal bars that confirm the theory about the WWI Hungarian comemorative Medal.

            Hope it helps you.

            Wishes,

            Douglas.

              Hello Alex,

That is a really nice Police Medal Bar and box. Too bad someone had to remove the last medal from the bar. I really wonder what possessed the person to remove the last medal. Maybe it was some really scarce Foreign Award. I cant believe someone would do this just to have a WWI Hungarian Service Medal by itself. But then again, stranger things have happened.
              Best regards! Tom

by now I'm going to reconstruct the bar,
when it will be done, I'll introduce it on the Forum.
Hope, it will not be in waste.

                all the best
                Alex.

Try a Sudetenland Medal on the end and see how that looks!

It could have been damaged and fallen off???...my vote would go for the Hungarian or Bulgarian Service Medal to take that place, but because your man was Austrian, it is more likely to be the Hungarian Medal... I know you have seen it before, but here is a smaller, similar bar that I have:

But given the amount of years the man served, he probably didn't bother with a non German speaking land's medals.

I still vote Sudetenland as that is what is seen most with Police.

Maybe we should have a poll on this one...

If he got the medal, then I am sure that he would have bothered displaying it. ..but, looking at the medal bar again, I think now that maybe the Sudetenland medal would be a better one to put on it...the medals go from WW1 to Third Reich from left to right and the one missing is the last one on the right...so, I am changing my mind now and go for one of the flower war medals.... no idea, why I did not see that before???... Cheers, Torsten.

That is a completely different bar.

This man obviously had his set up WWI then WWII and since the regulations for the Flower war medals states that they come after any service medals but before foreign awards.
