    1.Oktober 38 medal

Guys I have a few concerns over one of these medals. The dark one is slightly'dished' a little heavier and thicker then the cased example.Who knows these well? is the darker one a good one/ It is sewn on to the ribbon as shown and also has a safety pin sewn on on the reverse to the loop.
    Thanks

Because I want to put the uncased one on e-stand and need to know if its good first, I have had it about 15 years and was not really up on medals back then. Now I am worried.

Is the darker one bigger (greater diameter) than the cased example?

            The darker one

I think it's good and that the difference in the thickness/weight and slight dishing are legitimate manufacturing variations. Remember, large numbers of these were produced.

yes we must not forget that I suppose. There is certainly nothing in its quality of the figures or the lettering that would suggest its not right. It was the thikness and dishing that I was wondering about.
Right then off to e-stand later on !
              Thanks
