I ordered trhe medal bar but I received just a notification that I need to be informed if it is available. Now after bit of promoting here it is RESERVED for somebody else. I think I will never understand how Weitze runs his business. Crazy customer experience again. I wanted to examine the bar and eventually add to my upcoming publication about ww2 medal bars - if everything turns good. Guys, if you ordered based on my thread here...Last edited by Yubari; 06-01-2019, 04:14 AM.

You know I ordered item but it remained available as I received information that they need to let me know first, if the item is available.
It stayed available next 12 hours and then it became Reserved for somebody else. Worth to say I spent few thousands euros past few months, yet still "I was not first."

I believe that everyone here is partially right. The sword on the Ethiopian campaign medal is exactly right. There are actually 2 different ww1 war crosses with the same ribbon pattern and the same shape. One is the War Merit cross, the other is the War Cross of Military Valor. The first is slightly higher award and has no sword, the second has a sword on the ribbon to distinguish it from the first. The writing on the obverse is different. 1. Croche al Merito di Guerra. 2. Croche di Guerra al Valore Militare. This is not to be confused with the much higher award of the Al Valore Militare in gold, silver and bronze.

I just got finished reading this thread and I am still confused about the "FERT" Gladius sword device.
Does this device signify an act of bravery on the Italian War Merit Cross ribbon (award in position 2 on the medal bar in post 1) when the recipient did not quite meet the qualifications for the full-blown Italian Bravery Medal? Or am I reading this incorrectly?Last edited by Gardereiter; 07-10-2020, 04:53 PM.
