Is this a 40 Year Long Service award?
It says '25' on the back.
Does the addition of the oak leaves on the ribbon make it a 40 year award??

I've been looking for a single mount 40 year Wehrmacht or even just the 40 year bar for a long while now so this could be a great find...

Hopefully Wayne (Bytown) or another more knowledgeable collector than me will step in but to the best of my knowledge 40 year bars with the cut outs around the ribbon at the bottom are post war and only the solid types (without cut outs) like Ron's 2 pieces are original/TR period

I do not like the wreath or 25yr cross.

Stippling is pretty spotty. Eagles' head reminds me of a Souval copy.

That's just my opinion. I would not buy it if I saw it for purchase.

I would have thought that an award as hard to come by as a 40 yr Long Service cross (albeit with an incorrect wreath) would have stuck in your mind?
