    ......you are correct. Bad hinge/pin/clasp and it is a casting. Nothing good to say about this one.

          Hi Roman,

          As Adrian Stevenson says....it's a 1957 version, and I belive a good one as the pin,hinge and catch applies for that IMHO. However I suggest You have a moderator to move the thread to the "Wehrmacht War and Qualification badge" forum just to be 100% sure. I'm sure the kind lads will chip in on this badge very fast with their thoughts.
