Ostvolk Medal - original or fake?

I know nothing about medals etc, do you think it may be original? My dad bought it in early 90's (he used to trade stuff) and now we want to sell it.
The diameter is around 40mm so it's 2nd class, according to Wikipedia :-/
There isn't anything written on the ring. I also don't have a ribbon, just the medal.
Also, how much do you think it's worth?

Sadly worth very little, the ring is a replacement and lacking the ribbon

I'm not even sure the award itself is real … the colour is strange.

It looks almost aluminium … which is a very bad thing as these were all made of zinc.
