Help With Award Collection Real or Fakery

Hello All

I have a story, I know it to be true because I was there. A friend purchased a piece of antique furniture at auction and in a small hidden drawer was a small leather purse with this collection of awards in it. He has offered them to me 'at a price' but I know there are many copies out there. I would appreciate some advice as to your thoughts about them. I have left them as found and all would benefit from a gentle clean.

The SS 8 year medal is the most valuable .. maybe £500 and the cased '50' War Merit Cross without Swords is also very nice (I have it's twin) and is worth around £200. The medal with the green ribbon is the Ostvolk Medal 2nd class with swords in Silver (finish) and worth about £80. The blue ribbon is the Civil Faithful Service decoration for 25 years, worth about £25 and the cross without a ribbon is the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords ... about £20 if that as the bronze finish is in poor condition. Those are the prices we would expect to see on here ... retail prices will be higher but more than likely unattainable.

PS Do NOT clean them, they are as they are ... some are zinc base metal and all you will do is destroy what original finish remains.
