Memel Medal

A reasonably done fake of this medal.

Based I believe on the Type 7 in Antonio's book.

In hand one might be fooled by it.

Under magnification you can see the pitting in the metal from the casting.

Material is a shiny brass.

One to look out for if you are buying a Memel.

Here's two fakes, one on the right I bought around 35 years ago,the ribbon looks original IMO.
Makes you wonder how many types of fakes there are of the memel.

The one on the right is a Souval Long Podium fake.

He got a few people with that one.
