    1936 Olympic medals

Thought I would share my collection of Olympic medals many of which have been purchased in the last 10 or 12 months.I quite like the single mount einzelspange and ordensspange medals in particular and with around 55.000 awarded makes them more scarce than many TR awards .
Sorry about the photo-really struggled and had to resize it in order to post it on here.

    You plan on selling these?

They were posted in the ESTAND.

          Hi Troy,

This looks like a really nice collection. The 1936 Olympic Games Commemorative Medal has always been one of my favorite medals of the Third Reich Period. And the ribbon colors and pattern are the perfect enhancement to a nicely designed medal.

          Best regards,
          Tom

Not seen one mounted like that myself either but they were a few different styles of einzelspange.

I share your opinions Tom ,love the design. I quite like to see them mounted alongside a Polizei medal and the anschluss medals.

I share your fondness for an Olympic Medals mounted with a Police Long Service.

Currently looking for an Olympic Medal mounted with an 8 year Police Long Service.

That would give me all three on bars.

A 25, 18 and an 8 year with Olympic Medals.

                          Olympic Medal Ribbons

                          A question for Sniper11
What is the meaning of the different colours of the ribbons?
                          Why so many varieties?
                          Thank you

                            Hello Claudius
The different colour ribbons mean nothing.
It is down to dies in the material and some due to sunlight breaking down the red pigment in time.
you will see this with the EK2 ribbons.
                            Regardsd Pete

                              +1

Quite common among a lot of German ribbons from this era with red color, to see a wide variety of shades; orange, salmon, deep red, etc.

Here's a pic from RonR of some Cross of Honor medals with a range of "red":
