This box is believed to have contained a German medal. If so could anyone tell me which one.

Hi Chuck, if it's a real LDO box, it probably did hold a medal or badge. What are the dimensions and is there a fitted tray inside, or just a blank space with padded/flocked bottom?? -

I'll venture a guess here - From the size I see maybe it would house a 1st class spange. Others?

The box size (my guess) about 2 1/2 x 2 inches. He thought it had held a spange but really didn't know. There was a sleeve in the box but I didn't pull it out.Comment

If it's a slip box (with a pull out tray, like a match box) then it looks like the kind used for EK2 Bars or Prague Castle Bars.
