Ostvolker medal 1ste class in gold

Hello Collectors,

I would like to hear your opinions about this Ostvolker medal in gold 1ste class.
I have had some second classes before, but never a first class so I would like to discuss it first,

To add to my comment above, the pin colour is unlike any other I've seen on an Ostvolk ... they seem to never have a blued pin or lose their original finish, even if the award itself has reverted back to base zinc grey.


The subject piece is also missing the die flaw between the sword hilt and the wreath on the left hand side ...
