Den Kämpfern für die Deutsche Freiheit

Would like to hear your opinions regarding these medals. Never had a chance to inspect them in my hands before.

      Wow, very interesting.
I have no experience with these medals (other than being aware of them), and therefore am unable to offer an opinion as to their "originality".
That being said, I would think that the materials they are made of as well as accurate weights and measurements would be of great interest to the community.

Three very nice original awards. I have seen a similar set before but am unsure whether or not they are the same ones.

I have read somewhere that a couple of hundred examples were produced. None were awarded and the ribbons have almost certainly been added in recent years although they are the correct versions.

I have on file the specifications for producing this medal.

Here is my own example. I haven't bothered to purchase a ribbon as IMO none of them had a ribbon in the first place.

            Hi Thomas,

Because the war didn't end in 1940. They then produced a prototype for 1941 but the war didn't end then either.

            Pesky Allies!
