    4 place Austrian medal bar

I think this has a chance to be good Austrian medal bar but with replaced iron cross ring...?

Could also be another country (Bulgaria, Hungary etc.)who wore triangular mounts but from the Anschluss (1938) to 1945 Austria was considered part of the greater German Reich and active Austrian officials & soldiers wore their medals "german style" (drapery mounts) with the exception of retired vets(?). Austria did revert to traditional triangular mounts (Dreieickesband) after the war wearing their original german medals but reversed so the swatiska wouldnt show. Judging from the shiny silver coloured metal eyelets and hooks securing the ribbons I would say a post war Austrian bar with the medals reversed

Odd combination as well with the 25 year civil sevice cross on there without a Hindy cross.

When you see a 25 year cross you have to figure they started in the public service just before or during the first war.

Somehow missed being called up for that one but was at the front in a combat for the second war.

      Not imposiable just unlikely.

Austrian "Kameradschaftsbund"-bar (veteran's organisation), made post 1945 but with the original medals.

25 civil makes sense with no combination with hindy.. could avoid ww1 due to working in state office and was called to ww2.. so I would not call it as unlike!

            not speaking about construction etc.
