For reference here is a three medal bar.

Finnish Cross of Liberty 4 th class with swords 1918, Finnish Commemorative Medal of the War of Independence 1918 and last the Finnish Blue Cross.

The Blue Cross was instituted in 1968 and awarded retrospectively to veterans of the Civil Guard during the War of Independence, January to May 1918, the Winter War of 1939 to 1940 and the Continuation War of 1941 to 1944.

So this medal bar has been assembled or at least reassembled post 1968.

Yes, about 14.650 these medals were awarded to German soldiers, who helped Finnish White Army to defeat Bolsheviks during the Liberation War

              Hi Vince,

Here are two other bars to members of the Baltic Sea Division. They feature both the the Finnish Medal of Liberty Second Class and the Finnish Medal of the Liberation War.

              Best regards,
              Tom

                          Hi,

now we can see more Your Finnish Liberation War medal is marked S & Co, so produced by Swedish manufacturer Sporrong & Co, Stockholm. Also Finnish made versions exist: marked L&T by Lindman & Tillander and without mark (possibly by Finska Guldsmeds AB).

                          regards
                          Tomasz
