Sold for 460 euros! Why were they not withdrawn?

Be interesting to see where this lot turns up next.

Well now, it seems that Klaus has made it possible that in the future ten other collectors can be taken advantage of. Since Ost medals are what I consider a entry purchase into the hobby most likely some new collector will be taken and once found out will then become disillusioned with the hobby. It's not good for any of us, just a sad state of affairs all the way around.

Agree. An Ost medal collector would not have bought an auction lot of fakes, and would have recognized as such - so unfortunately, these were likely purchased to get doled out one or 2 at a time at full retail.

I thought of Klaus as one of the good guys but he breaks up groups, sometimes lists copies, and starting prices are often not that different to normal retail, even before you add the buyers premium.

The fact that a dealer dont immediately recognize those ribbons as fake is beyond me. And if the ribbons are fake is these unissued pack, so is of course the medals and bags.
                    Simply unbelievable.

Do we get the normal cought-selling-fakes dealer respons? Oh sorry, I was away on business on my helpers didnt know better...

                    This is bull****!

Very obvious fake ribbons and extremely surprising to me, Klaus IS usually extremely receptive to advice on the ones that slip through the net.

For the record this lot was marked "WITHDRAWN" so it was not sold for 460 Euro.

at least this was solved! Another sad topic is his attitude when it comes to splitting the groups..

The EXTREMELY questionable ex Helmut Weitze SS Tuxedo ensemble also failed to sell ... it still wasn't pulled though.

Fortunately that item is about 33,000 Euro out of the price range of 90 percent of the collectors. lol
