    Eastern Peoples Award Silver/swords 1st

I would appreciate receiving comments on this award which I obtained in England at least 15 years ago. Is it an original pre-war? post-war? Forgery? The maker mark 113 was made with care but did 113 make these awards or just the pin? Thanks for your help. GF

    Hello GF,

Sorry, but for me this is nothing but a modern fake. And the case is bad too IMO. The Lieferant number 113 is to Hermann Aurich of Dresden and they were not a known wartime manufacturer of these decorations.

    Best regards,
    Tom

Tom, many thanks. Always good to get a confirmation of something I thought might be a Fake. I did not think 113 made these but the marking was so good on the pin I thought that perhaps in constructing this Fake piece someone had used a pin from another type award that HA made. The other thing that I noticed was the dome top fasting device that connected the pin to the hinge piece; I had not seen that in any of these pieces. Is that a good give-away to detect Fakes? GF

Yes, it is a fake. There are three holotypes of this sign.
              1. 100th brand.
              2. without brand, but with marriage between the top beams and a krugyy heel at a fascinating hook.
              3. a wreath without weaving.
              the others fake.

                Reply to BEK

Dear BEK, thanks for the additional information. I want to ask you to either say a little more about the weaving of the wreath or could you post photos showing your points #2 and #3. I believe this would help others when purchasing these pieces. GFC

Perhaps this is the meaning of the weaving of the wreath
