Westwall ribbons

Can I please have opinions on these two ribbons, good or bad.

Edges

From these pics it looks (especially that left edge) doesn't have the pronounced looped edges that it should. Also that top fraying looks a bit weird.

That's what I thought.


The reason I put them up is they are actually photos of the same medal. I purchased it off estand some time ago( it was held up in U.K. customs for weeks). When I checked it against the sellers original photo (light background) it was obvious that the ribbon had been changed. If you look at the ends of the ribbon you can see that in the original photo it is a straight cut edge and in my photo it is a toothed type edge, the ribbon I received is also longer. I have contacted the seller to find out what is going on but he hasn't replied yet although he has been on the forum..


If it doesn't get sorted out I'll open a thread in the appropriate section.

The medal is nice but by no means rare (unless it's marked ?) maybe best to return the item under the 7 day return privilege ?

I purchased it on 16/5/18 and and arrived in the U.K. on 22/5/18. It only arrived with me yesterday. I'll see what the seller says before I decide what to do. It's not the fact that it's fake ribbons, it's more the principle that the ribbon was changed after the sale.

Well guys I must eat a large slice of humble pie.


I enlarged both photos, and on checking the loops and where they were cut it is clear that both ribbons are in fact the same one. The sellers photo does not really show the /\/\/\/\/\ shaped cut.


I have apologized to the seller.
