      Hello there,

I agree with Ian. An original medal bar that has seen better days. Looks like it was originally a five-placer. The zinc backing plate was cut at the EK2 and then the backing plate was lengthened by adding a piece of brass at the position where the 1939 KVK2 is now placed. The different style of rosette seen at the reverse bottom of the KVK2 ribbon and the different color of thread used to secure the KVK2 ribbon indicates that this piece was a later addition to the bar. Still a rather nice medal bar and one that would be worthy of some TLC and restoration. It looks like the pin catch is still present and perhaps even the pin hinge. It would also need a silver eagle device to be replaced on the Wehrmacht 4-Year LS ribbon.

Also looks like 30mm wide ribbon was used on the EK2 and KVK2 while the ribbons on the other four medals look to be 25mm wide.

      Best regards,
      Tom
