Can I please have your opinion on this medal. When I look at the side of it I can see some little cracks. The ring is marked 100. Thank you for your help.

Thank you all for the help. Does the attachment pin look like it is the original one? The reason why I was thinking that this medal was bad is because with the magnifying glass I could see some little crack marks in the zinc. That is probably common with zinc. Also this is the gold version but the medal appears grey. I am guessing because it lost its color.

The pin is fine, the grey finish is perfectly normal. After 70 years the cotton holding the pin assy onto the ribbon has come undone ... mine is still there but only just.
