Did they make this cross in iron? Leaves an eagle are magnetic too.

Cross was made both in Iron and Buntmetal(Tombak).
The leaves are the open type that I am not fond off.

I have examples of this type on 40yr crosses from the 57 version.

Any better photographs of the cross and wreath available?

The cutout type do not appear in any period publications.

I think they are post war but I cannot say for sure if they were made by S&L or another post war maker of awards.

These cutouts have not been found on bars that have been verified to an owner ie. verified 40yr entitled.

Anyone can take one of these open type and slap them on a 25yr bar and presto it's a 40yr award.
