2,9 cm loops for ribbon bar: question for you!

I have an early SS m42 tunic of SS polizei division.
It has a 2,9 cm loop over pocket near collar. Which ribbon bar could measure +2,9 cm on back needle?
Could be a two piece bar?

Most likely a 3- Bar (maybe 4) at the most prevalent ribbon bar length.

Yes, I know; my answer was based on cm, not inches.

Hiya, just found the time to have a measure ... the only way I can find 2.9cm is a 2 place KVKIIX/Westwall with 25mm ribbons but it's dead-on 2.9 between the pin and the catch.

          Hope that helps, Ian.

I think that probably there goes a 3/4 place medal bar.
But combo are really many. So it depends on you how brave you want your soldier was!

Hi Antonio, all my 3/4 place bars are wider pin to catch than 29mm.

              Seasons greeting by the way

Maybe I misunderstood something, but Mauro is talking about the distance of the loops.

He was asking about what size ribbon bar would fit a distance of 2.9cm between uniform award loops. That would be at least a 3-ribbon bar using the typical 1.5cm/decoration setup to accommodate the shorter pin/catch on the backing plate.

German ribbons for the bars were 15 mm or 25 mm wide. On ribbon bars with 1-2 medals often 25 mm ribbons were used (same as for medal bars). With 3 or more, rather 15 mm ribbons.
