The first 25yr without the 40yr wreath appears to be a Souval copy.

You can see that there is a seam line between the arms of the cross.

Not a good sign.

The second cross with the pin back and open type wreath looks to be a good one.

The open type wreath is not good in my opinion. Period publications do not show this type of wreath.

Is the wreath hollow backed?

Hard to tell from the photo's but I would guess that both crosses are non magnetic. Are they?

Both are non magnetic and the wreath is solid back. I share your sentiment about the wreath. I have a heer 25 year thats been posted already where the medal was maker marked / pin was intact on the ribbon but the wreath was added later. Or at least that is the consensus.
