4 - medal bar

Hi guys.

Received my first medal bar today.
Medals seem fine to me but i dont know much about medal bars so all opinions welcome

Question: Was backing cloth always added to medal bars or was it optional? Obvious there isn't one present but i dont see any signs of one ever being attached.

Looks like a nice original bar.... this type wouldn't have a backer cloth (unless added). Nice start.

I actually thought most (all) medal bars had a backing cloth so happy i learned something new.

I've managed to find a matching ribbon bar. Price is a bit high though so haven't pulled the trigger yet. But would be nice to have a matching set.
