Hi. ¿ Is aluminum? The photos are not the best, but I put these for you to compare. The details are not very clear. Regarding the price about 1000e. So if it has cost you cheaper red light.

                Hello,

The gorget that started this thread is a reproduction IMO. It looks convincing in some respects, but that eagle is definitely not an Assmann.

Also, I must add that the gorget shown in post #2 by manu1972 is a complete fake, IMO. These should not be made of aluminum, but from iron, so they should be magnetic. And these should not be D.R.G.M. marked.

                Best regards,
                Tom

                    Hello,

These first two links show original Feldgendarmerie gorgets by F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. Notice the distinctly different shape of the eagle's head on the originals. There are many other differences as well between the originals and the fakes. They should be readily apparent in a side-by-side comparison.

This last link shows a fake that is just like the one at the start of this thread.

                      eagle's head comparison:

And that silver-painted finish on the fake at right is never a good sign for an original Assmann.

                      Best regards,
                      Tom

How about this one guys. My concern is the high placement of the bottom title, might be movable?
