    15 place ribbon bar

    Hello all,

Would like to have some additional opinions on this ribbon bar if at all possible please. I posted the bar on facebook and a few of the guys said the award combination did not make sense and that this was a fantasy bar. In my opinion, the construction is entirely different from any Ohio parts bar I have come across, though it does have numerous devices like that series of fakes. These small devices are not my thing and they are heavy on this bar. The aging and wear all look legitimate to me but if you guys see something I don't I would really appreciate the help. Thank you!!

I m afraid it is a put-together. The precedence makes no sense and is made up of fake and real devices.

quite disappointing that it's a fake. I purchased this from Barry Turk of emedals. It's quite disgusting when even the biggest names out there sell reproductions.

Everyone makes mistakes man... E-medals has more than a few shady items on the site.

it should be the job of anyone that sells to have items vetted prior to being posted for sale. It's great that there is a return policy, but it shouldn't even need to get that far.

Should be the job of the collector or investor to do homework before a purchase.

You are right, but optimistically speaking, they deal in such high volumes that perhaps they dont really dedicate the time required to truly question things during their authentication process. Worst case, well... I don't want to think the worst of folks in our hobby.

ah yes, this old debate. Never mind holding sellers and professionals to a higher standard to sell legitimate items; buyer beware and all of the little guys for themselves.

You're right, it isn't his fault I put faith in his experience and good reputation. So they say, evaluate the item and not the story, nor the seller.

Personally, when I sell an item, I make sure it is what it needs to be but I guess I'm not like the other guys!

A BIG FLAG anytime someone has a ribbon bar with devices on EVERY ribbon - especially such a large bar.
