    Neat Imperial/TR medal bar

I don't really want to start collecting medal bars , but when I saw this item at the Napredak Show today I couldn't resist. It covers three of my fields of interest: EKs, Honor Crosses, and the RAD. Note the reverse-mounted EK.

The EK has been opened up and put back together. I don't know whether the core got put in backwards during the repair or whether the cross was always mounted with the reverse in front. The repair work is sloppiest at the top.

(And if this thread is better suited to either the "Imperial" or the "Police and Civil Oraganizations" Forums, I would ask that the moderator please move it. )

HI George...very nice medal bar, just gotta love that label , never seen a labelled medalbar before, is it common? What about ribbonbars, never seen a labelled one of those either.

            Regards.......Tony

Watch yourself, George, you could be on the slippery slope like me!

                George, neat little bar

@Tony: Both do exist. Labelled medalbars and ribbonbars are not common, but also not very rare. Maybe 1 of 10 bars is labeled, i would guess.

                best,

That one caught my eye as well. Nice find.

George, I like that bar , nice to see the RAD medal appearing, makes for an interesting combo and the label is a nice touch. Shame that someone attacked the EK, maybe there was a Wilhelmine backlash

                      It's always nice....

... to see the RAD pieces mounted up. Despite the lower collector interest, these are actually pretty hard to find and undervalued, IMO.

You're absolutely right, Rick, and that was a big consideration for me in deciding to get this bar. (The price, BTW, was $110. )

That is a great price for that bar!!! I think that the RAD Service medal alone goes for that!

Awesome bar! I am curious as to why the EK was separated as well...

                          Best regards
