It would be nice though to inspect these under a microscope.

I agree, I've seen a couple of Mr Rivett's videos and they certainly make an excellent point about the subject badges being quite poor quality castings when viewed under the microscope. I'm seriously considering digging out my youngest daughters USB microscope one wet weekend to see what I can find.

Sadly it will lack the wild and wacky sound track but hey ...
