    Ostmedaille

Added this to my single mount collection recently.

Maker Marked 108 on the ring.

    Second one I find.

Militaria Berlin has/had one in their update today.

I thought I paid too much for this one. Their price is obscene.

Big dealer, big price I guess.

    Wayne,
Nicely conditioned medal and not so easy to find as a single mount. The demand for single mounts has driven the prices up the past few years but like all things, demand is fickle and the prices may one day drop. I pretty much have quit looking at the larger dealers sites because there's nothing I want bad enough to pay the exorbitant prices they are asking.

        Not exactly

I am often visiting this website, and IMO most prices are really reasonable. Please notice, that after each weekly update, many new items are quickly sold.

The owner just knows the market very good: ask rational prices for common stuff (average Ost-Medal costs here 35-40 €) - and high prices for scarce items

        regards

          Very nice one Wayne Congrats!

I saw the one at MB also, thought it was "a little" overpriced, I normally take the OM einzelpange when I can, but skipped that one. I have bought them from 90 to 150 EU.
          But not from big sites.

But then again its his site and spange, he can do what he wants, ours to choose if we think its worth that much to us or not

                Very nice piece!

I've only managed to find 2 that are "Austrian" mounts
out of the 93 Ostmedailles that I have & neither are
                maker marked.

I haven't bothered to take the time to check Sascha's
book to see who the makers might be so I can't let
                you know.

                Ron.
