Memel medal (B-type)

Hello Guys,

I have recently bought this Memel medal and I was told it was a B type. Could anyone tell me a bit more about them ? Are they attributed to S&L postwar ?

Yes.

Currently classed as a fake.

Antonio Scapini's book indicates that it might be possible that S&L dies were used.

This in my humble opinion is not a Souval fake.

The Souval fake has the podium sides extending down to the edge of the medal.

These 2 fakes the B and Souval are described in Antonio's book.

Entirely different from one another.

I absolutely agree with Wayne: nothing in common with the post war Souval production. Souval post war production is very well documented and there are no possibilities to make a mistake about it. Souval fakes are, as Wayne pointed out, the so called "long podium".
