4 placer - Non Combattant / Red Cross Ribbon Bar

Got today this nice Ribbon bar. It's my first non Combattant ribbon bar like this.

Who do you think belonging this bar? Man or woman?

What do you guys think about the bar itself.

Hmm odd combination indeed and in the wrong order

    the order should be

    KVK Medal
    Non-Combat Hindy
    Social Welfare medal
    Prussian Red Cross

Also odd it the KVK medal as that was awarded to factory workes while the KVK without swords would be what one would expect to find on a bar with a Red cross medal and a Social Welfare medal.

Not impossible but just very odd and raises a few flags for me

That's what I think to. It's very odd.

But red Cross woman get also the KVK medal and a volkspflege medal. If she was into the red Cross during ww1 as nurse as well this wouldn't be impossible

Olson the bar is pretty small!

Well that one makes sense and not the same as the above ribbon

            Prussian Red Cross 2nd class
            Non-Combat Hindy
A Nazi Era DRK medal FrauenKreuz
            Prussian Red Cross 3rd class

The order is correct for that bar. To get the 2nd you needed the 3rd. This bar predates the introduction of the Social Welfare medal so from 1934~37 and in this case this would be associated with a woman as the FrauenKreuz is present

Most likely the FrauenKreuz was retirement decoration.

I see your thoughts but i still thing this is a period one. Everything looks period to me.

Mistakes were made - even from "higher" company's

Let's take a look on this Godet medal bar:

The order is strange but weird things did occur.

                Here's a similar set I acquired recently ..

                Other DRK/Social Welfare Bars ..

Very nice original ribbon bar. If you ever get tired of it I'd gladly give it a home.

                    Kind regards

One has to remember there was a big diff between the
                      DRK medal and the
                      Social Welfare medal.

The DRK was a award the was hard to qulify for.
While the Social Welfare medal you could get for collecting 100 RM over you quota for the Winterhilfswerk

Going back to the first bar could be a case of a Sani-man in WWI then a factory worker in WWII and collected 101 RM over his quota.
