    Help Needed - Various Awards

    Hi guys,

These pieces were used on display and came with a uniform or two that I had purchased. As I wanted and paid for the uniform, not the medals, I have no idea if they are original or not. It's not my area of focus. Would you please lend me your more experienced eyes in this arena and share your thoughts?

And also value whether genuine or reproduction, I guess, as they'll all be sold regardless.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jason

I can't speak to the authenticity of the Iron Cross, but on the bar it's next to a Spanish Merito Militar Cruz Roja from 1931 or earlier - the gold bars on the ribbon indicate subsequent awards.

The pin-back 'star' is a Spanish Merito Militar Distintivo Blanco. The reverse set up points to a WWII time period.

The black wound badge marked '100' looks original to me. I can't speak to the silver wound badge - I recommend posting both wound badges to the Wound Badge forum and the Iron Cross to the Cross forum.

                  Hi Jason,

The Black Wound Badge looks like a nice original by Rudolf Wächtler & Lange of Mittweida.

The Silver Wound Badge doesn't look good to me. I believe it is a "Floch" fake of an 'L/53' (Hymmen & Co. of Lüdenscheid).

The 1939 EK2 appears to be okay, but I would post it in the Crosses of the Wehrmacht forum as the guys there really know their Iron Crosses. Any maker on the suspension ring?

I can't really help on the Spanish decorations. Quality on both seem to be lacking, but I realize too that that is not necessarily a bad sign when it comes to Spanish decorations.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

                    Hello,
I agree with Tom and his opinion to the silver wound badge, not an original Hymmen WB but a well known fake of it!

                      Hi Jason,

Spanish red Merit Cross has the Bourbon Crown, not the monarchist one associated to the SCW/IIWW period. It was used until 1931 and after the Gen. Franco regime in the 70/80's.

I am sure the medal bar is a put together. Also the white Merit Cross, crudely done, looks to me of the period 70/80's

                      Cheers
