    Winter im Osten, okay

I'm getting down to the last items from my small collection which WA members have been helping authenticate, or identify as no good. Here is a Winter Schlacht im Osten medal which came from England to me in the States in the 1980s.

Any information appreciated i.e., good/no good, maker (if such a thing can be determined with this), long ribbon not folded a plus or not, etc.

    Thanks, Brian

I have to say I am getting an education right now. EKII, Panzer Shoulder Boards (bad), Black Wound Badge, and collar tabs. You can read all about them in other forums. Among the things I am learning about are makers numbers, so I checked this medal out and found out the following, FWIW:

There is a number on the ring on this Eastern Front medal which looks like 93 but I would not swear by that.

        Brian:

Your 'Ost' is an original "Frozen Meat Order" that was manufactured
by the maker RICHARD SIMM & SOHNE in Gablonz....The ribbon
looks to be the proper width ribbon for the medal & original. If you
have a small 'mm/cm' ruler on-hand you might want to check the
measurement yourself. The ribbon should be 30 mm wide.

Thanks Ron and yes it is 30mm wide. Happy New Year to you and all who have helped out with my novice, at best, questions and concerns.
