These two open "M" types are from the same source. So far the verdict is one for and one against it being original pre 45.

IMO the first one shown is a complete fake. A fake cross and an fake ribbon.

The second one has an original, brooch-mounted ribbon (probably taken from a second class Luftschutz Decoration) but the cross appears to be another fake IMO.

Have to agree cast fakes for both. Very weak details and pebbling

Yes indeed. I had one briefly back in February and that was exactly this configuration. UV the stitching for the brooch ... mine was UV+ which gave the game away.
